Cyntia has been teaching group and individual dulcimer lessons since 1979. She specializes in classical finger picking in the chord-melody style where the melody has chordal accompaniment played at the same time, as well as in creating harmonies and countermelodies.

The repertoire includes, but is not limited to, Early and Renaissance music, traditional Celtic and English songs and instrumentals, and contemporary folk.

Cyntia works with the diatonic and extra fretted dulcimers, and chromatic dulcimers. She also can assist in determining fingerings, and adding variations and ornamentations.
